About MindMirror
MindMirror is a small set of psychological tests. Each one gives you a short result for free, and a longer report that you can unlock once and keep.
The tests draw on recognised frameworks in personality and social psychology: attachment theory as developed by Bowlby and Ainsworth, the five-factor model of personality, research on stress responses, and established descriptions of conflict and boundary behaviour. The questions, type names and report text are written specifically for this site — they are not copied from existing instruments.
We want to be exact about what this is and is not. These are not validated clinical instruments. They have not gone through the reliability and validity testing that a diagnostic questionnaire requires, and they cannot identify a disorder or replace an assessment by a professional. What they can do is give you a structured, honest, specific description of a pattern, written in a way that is useful to think with.
The reports are deliberately written to be readable rather than flattering. If a report tells you something uncomfortable, that is intentional; if it tells you something that simply does not match your life, trust your own experience over the text.
If you are in distress, or you recognise something in a result that worries you, please talk to a qualified mental health professional. A short online test is not the right tool for that.
